Job Summary

To support a managed services team, the remote State Licensed Medication Access Specialist will streamline patient intake processes, navigate insurance requirements, and enhance medication access while conducting patient outreach and reducing the financial burden of high-cost prescriptions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the medication intake process, acting as a liaison among clinic providers, staff, pharmacies, and patients
• Conduct benefits investigations to determine patient coverage and identify financial assistance options
• Gather documentation for prior authorization submissions and manage appeals for coverage denials

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three years of pharmacy experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers focused on medication access
• State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration obtained within 2 months of start date, if applicable
• Proficiency in utilizing CoverMyMeds for prior authorization submissions
• Active CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA preferred
