Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time State Licensed Medication Access Specialist will streamline patient intake processes, navigate insurance requirements, and enhance medication access while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the medication intake process as a liaison among clinic providers, pharmacy staff, and patients
- Conduct benefits investigations to determine patient coverage and available financial assistance options
- Manage insurance denials and facilitate prior authorization submissions to optimize treatment initiation
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of pharmacy experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers focused on medication access
- State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration obtained within 2 months of start date, if applicable
- Proficiency in utilizing CoverMyMeds for prior authorization submissions
- Active CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA is preferred
