State Licensed Neurology Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To provide expert neurology consults and triage coverage for inpatient and emergency department cases, a full-time State Licensed Neurology Nurse Practitioner will thrive in a remote night shift role from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM EST, managing a broad spectrum of acute and non-acute neurological conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct neurology consults and triage for inpatient and emergency department cases
• Manage a variety of acute neurological conditions, including seizure management and stroke evaluation
• Support emergency departments with disposition planning and patient management via telehealth platforms

Required qualifications

• Acute Gerontological Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) with a doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) or a Master's-prepared candidate with strong inpatient neurology experience
• 2-3+ years of recent inpatient neurology consult or neurohospitalist experience
• Strong clinical expertise in seizure management, stroke/TIA evaluation, migraine care, and neuromuscular disorders
• Experience supporting emergency departments and disposition planning
• Ability to work independently during night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM EST)
