Key responsibilities
- Counsel product and engineering teams on legal and regulatory issues related to AI/ML, data governance, and intellectual property
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design frameworks and legal guardrails for AI feature development
- Serve as the primary legal partner for product initiatives, collaborating with legal subject matter experts to provide cohesive guidance
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of legal experience counseling software products, preferably in the B2B Enterprise SaaS sector
- Juris Doctor degree with a license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Experience in both law firm and in-house legal settings
- Strong generalist product counseling skills with the ability to adapt to various technical and business contexts
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and evaluate emerging legal issues in AI, data, and regulatory fields
