State Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

To support a leading global technology company's Payments Platform, the full-time Contract Product Counsel will provide legal guidance on payments infrastructure, financial regulations, and fraud prevention while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on payment infrastructure, local payment methods, and partner integrations across multiple jurisdictions
• Provide legal guidance on payment regulations, financial integrity, and chargeback management
• Counsel cross-functional teams on payment product development and regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (or equivalent international qualification)
• 5+ years of legal experience with significant exposure to payments, fintech, or financial regulatory matters
• Experience advising on payment processing and financial technology products
• Familiarity with card network rules and modern payment ecosystems
• Experience counseling technology companies on product-integrated legal and regulatory issues
