Job Summary
To support complex medical malpractice claims, the full-time State Licensed RN Consultant will independently investigate, analyze, and evaluate claims while providing medical knowledge to clients in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Handles complex or high exposure claim issues and advises Nurse Consultant - PL colleagues
- Develops action plans and investigates cases based on requests for investigation
- Prepares reports summarizing medical records and interviews, providing analysis and recommendations for claims handling
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- RN license required
- Five (5) years of related clinical nursing experience and two (2) years of nurse consultant experience required
- LNC (Legal Nurse Consultant) Certification or training preferred
- Technical claims knowledge of medical malpractice claims procedures and practices
