State Licensed Senior Counsel

Job Summary

Serving as a trusted legal advisor, the full-time remote State Licensed Senior Counsel will manage the drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment of commercial agreements while collaborating with Sales, Deal Ops, and other cross-functional teams to drive revenue and mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements and master services agreements
• Partner with Sales and other teams to structure and close enterprise deals, ensuring compliance with privacy and data protection requirements
• Deliver legal training to Sales and go-to-market teams on best practices for deal management and negotiation strategies

Required qualifications

• JD with admission to at least one bar
• 8+ years of substantive legal experience, including 3 years in B2B SaaS commercial contracting
• Experience negotiating outbound SaaS agreements with large enterprise customers, particularly in financial services
• Strong understanding of the SaaS industry and relevant regulatory landscape
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines effectively
