Job Summary
Seeking a highly-motivated and experienced attorney, the remote Senior Legal Counsel, VP (Vendor Contracts / Privacy) will manage vendor contract review and provide legal support for data privacy, protection, and cybersecurity programs while advising on compliance with regulatory developments in the financial services industry.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal support for data privacy and cybersecurity programs, including developing procedures and training
- Engage in vendor contract review, negotiating data protection clauses, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations
- Advise business partners on data protection laws and the impact of regulatory changes in the financial services sector
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree with active membership to practice in at least one U.S. state
- 7+ years of legal experience in big law firms, governmental agencies, or in-house legal departments
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial services regulations and privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA
- Experience with drafting complex technology and BaaS agreements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications
