State Licensed Senior Privacy Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing Privacy Team, the full-time State Licensed Senior Privacy Counsel will independently manage privacy verticals, provide legal advice on U.S. healthcare privacy laws, and advise on AI governance and regulatory issues in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage and drive privacy projects from issue-spotting through resolution
• Provide clear legal advice on privacy laws applicable to healthcare organizations, including HIPAA and state privacy laws
• Advise on the use of artificial intelligence and related laws, while supporting internal teams with privacy-related provisions in agreements

Required qualifications

• J.D. and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Minimum of 6 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in privacy or healthcare regulatory work
• Prior experience advising healthcare organizations on privacy and compliance matters
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and other U.S. privacy laws, with familiarity in emerging AI laws preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
