Job Summary
Providing phone-based clinical consultations, the full-time State Licensed Small Animal Consultant will support veterinary professionals across the US and Canada with diagnostic interpretation and patient care decisions in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver live phone consultations regarding laboratory results, diagnostic testing, and treatment options
- Guide clinicians on proper specimen handling techniques and identify factors impacting test accuracy
- Document all consultation interactions accurately within the CRM system
Required qualifications
- DVM (or equivalent veterinary degree) with ACVIM (Small Animal Internal Medicine) board certification (DACVIM, SAIM) or equivalent
- Active veterinary license (state or provincial, as applicable)
- Strong clinical expertise in small animal internal medicine and diagnostic interpretation
- Ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and effectively over the phone
- Commitment to maintaining Diplomate status and ongoing continuing education
