Job Summary
To support middle school students (grades 6-8) with individualized instruction, the part-time State Licensed Special Education Tutor will deliver online 1:1 tutoring aligned to IEP/504 goals, focusing on reading, writing, and math while maintaining flexible hours, preferably in the mornings and on weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 online instruction tailored to each student's IEP/504 goals using multisensory strategies
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instructional methods as needed, providing updates to families and the coordinator
- Maintain professional conduct by ensuring a reliable and distraction-free remote workspace while adhering to privacy and safety protocols
Required qualifications
- Active Special Education certification (state or national)
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom or tutoring experience, preferably with middle school students
- Experience implementing IEPs/504 plans
- Ability to pass a background check and authorized to work in the United States
- Access to a reliable computer, internet, and a quiet remote workspace
