State Licensed Specialty Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

Supporting Specialty Clinical Pharmacists in a remote capacity, the State Licensed Specialty Pharmacy Technician will engage with members to provide pharmacy benefit information, assist with prior authorization requests, and ensure satisfaction with specialty medications.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for members and providers regarding specialty pharmacy benefits and inquiries
• Coordinate prior authorizations and follow up with members post-receipt of medication to ensure satisfaction and address clinical questions
• Assist Specialty Clinical Pharmacists with patient outreach, scheduling, and administrative tasks to enhance medication adherence and support

Required qualifications

• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
• 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy technician role within a specialty pharmacy or managed care setting
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication and benefit design terminology
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
