State Licensed VP of Security

Job Summary

To lead security initiatives in an AI-driven environment, the full-time salaried State Licensed VP of Security will manage AI security functions, oversee security engineering operations, and enhance enterprise trust while collaborating with senior leadership and representing security to the executive team and board.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and robust security measures for consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, ensuring secure design practices and automated response protocols are implemented
• Manage corporate IT security, including identity management and SaaS governance, while supporting enterprise security reviews and compliance efforts

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security with 5+ years in leadership roles, preferably in high-growth environments
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, particularly with AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up, demonstrating a track record of successful team development
• Experience in managing corporate IT aspects related to security, including identity platforms and endpoint management
• Executive presence with the ability to engage effectively with boards and enterprise customers on security matters
