State Licensed VP of Security
Job Summary
To lead the security strategy and operations at Engine, the full-time State Licensed VP of Security will oversee AI security initiatives, manage security engineering teams, and ensure enterprise trust while reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering and AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the AI security function, including internal AI gateway and agent identity models
- Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap
- Own enterprise security narratives for fundraising and customer reviews, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during hypergrowth phases
- Deep technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
- Experience building new security functions from the ground up
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers
- Comfortable managing corporate IT as part of the security mission
