State Licensed VP of Security

Job Summary

To lead security initiatives in a rapidly evolving AI landscape, the full-time State Licensed VP of Security will manage AI security functions, oversee security engineering, and ensure operational integrity while collaborating with senior leadership and enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including internal AI gateways and agent identity models
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives and security compliance for fundraising and customer engagements

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security with at least 5 years in leadership roles, particularly during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tools
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
• Experience managing corporate IT aspects, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
