State Licensed VP of Security

Job Summary

Leading the security strategy and operations, the full-time salaried State Licensed VP of Security will build and oversee AI security functions, manage security engineering teams, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating with executive leadership in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and agent identity model
• Oversee security engineering efforts, including AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, while driving a secure-by-design roadmap
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives and technical controls for compliance, enhancing the security narrative for fundraising and customer engagements

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Demonstrated experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Proven ability to engage with executive teams and manage enterprise-level security reviews
• Current knowledge and conviction regarding AI security challenges and solutions
