State Licensed VP of Security

Job Summary

Leading the charge in AI security, the full-time State Licensed VP of Security will own the end-to-end security strategy, engineering, and operations, ensuring robust defenses against emerging threats while collaborating closely with executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and agent identity model
• Oversee security engineering teams, driving initiatives in AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec while enhancing security operations
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for funding diligence, including customer security reviews and compliance controls

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up
• Experience managing corporate IT functions as part of the security mission
• Excellent executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
