State Licensed VP of Security

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy at Engine, the full-time State Licensed VP of Security will manage AI security initiatives, oversee security engineering, and ensure operational integrity while collaborating with executive leadership in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including the internal AI gateway and agent identity management
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, including customer security reviews and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with 5+ years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical knowledge in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Ability to effectively communicate with executive teams and manage enterprise customer security reviews
• Experience with corporate IT governance, including identity platforms and SaaS administration
