Job Summary
A company is looking for a State Policy Manager to support its systems change work at the state level.
Key Responsibilities
- Track news literacy-specific legislation in all 50 states and produce monthly reports
- Coordinate meetings with staff and key state stakeholders for coalition-building and legislative efforts
- Advise on legislative process and strategy while representing the organization at state-level events
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree
- A minimum of five years of professional experience
- A minimum of three years of experience in state legislative activity or advocacy roles
- Experience in tracking legislation through the bill process
- Preferred experience in public education or education policy
