Statistics Specialist
Job Summary
To support healthcare audits and overpayment analyses, the full-time remote Statistics Specialist will design and execute statistically valid sampling strategies, perform data analysis on large healthcare datasets, and collaborate with teams to present findings and recommendations.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute statistically valid sampling strategies for audits and analyses
- Perform statistical data analysis and validate extrapolation methods in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with auditors and clients to translate complex statistical findings into clear reports and recommendations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Strong foundation in Statistics and Mathematics with experience in applying quantitative methods to real-world data
- Advanced skills in Statistical Data Analysis, including sampling design and interpretation of complex data
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Python) and proficiency in data visualization tools
- Familiarity with healthcare claims data and compliance frameworks (e.g., OIG, HIPAA) is beneficial
