Storage Administrator

Job Summary

To support a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time Storage Administrator will manage and optimize enterprise storage infrastructure remotely, focusing on data migration, backup and recovery, and storage integration across on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Install, configure, administer, and optimize enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure, including various storage technologies
• Monitor and maintain storage capacity, performance, and availability, producing forecasts and status reports
• Troubleshoot complex storage issues and coordinate with vendor support teams to implement corrective actions

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field, or eight years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience administering enterprise SAN and storage infrastructure
• Experience with Fibre Channel SAN environments and enterprise storage arrays, including troubleshooting performance and connectivity issues
• Working knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery technologies, including Commvault and storage snapshots
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues
