Job Summary
To support demanding production workloads, the W2 contract Storage Engineer ZFS will architect, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade ZFS storage clusters while working remotely for a duration of 6+ months.
Key responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and manage ZFS storage clusters to optimize performance and capacity
- Conduct performance tuning and deep analysis to troubleshoot I/O bottlenecks
- Implement data integrity and protection strategies, including backup and disaster recovery
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage engineering and systems administration
- Expertise in ZFS, OpenZFS, and related technologies in production environments
- Strong understanding of storage protocols such as NFS, SMB/CIFS, and iSCSI
- Experience with storage server hardware and high-speed networking technologies
- Proficiency in capacity planning and lifecycle management of storage solutions
