Store Designer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Store Designer will create and optimize retail store layouts by reviewing site surveys and CAD files, ensuring compliance with design standards and construction codes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop preliminary floor plans based on site surveys and CAD files, adhering to company design guidelines
• Present and incorporate feedback on floor plans from internal teams, ensuring all operational needs are met
• Produce architectural construction documents and coordinate design intent with engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in chain retail store design and/or CAD design
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup
• Knowledge of governing construction codes and accessibility design guidelines (ADA, ANSI, Title 24, etc.)
• Ability to create, read, and interpret construction documents and architectural drawings
