Student Research Aide Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Student Research Aide/Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute talents, skills, and knowledge to hands-on research and extension/outreach addressing real-world challenges and opportunities faced by vegetable growers
• Develop marketable skills and knowledge while making an impact and connections
• Assist in developing and helping people to use improved genetics and management approaches creating environments conducive to success

Required Qualifications:

• Enrolled as a college student with Federal Work Study funding
• Interest in vegetable farming and improving farmers' productivity and efficiency
• Ability to work outdoors, in high tunnels and greenhouses, and in laboratories and offices
• No previous study of pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, or similar materials
• Willingness to constantly learn and improve methods
