Studies Engineer - Power Systems
Job Summary
To support power system studies in the renewable energy markets, the full-time remote Studies Engineer - Power Systems will perform various system studies, develop procedures for new study areas, and utilize Python scripting for process efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct system studies such as short circuit, arc flash, load flow, transient overvoltage, and harmonics using software like PSSE, ETAP, and PSCAD
- Provide quality support to wind, solar, and BESS generator owners in a fast-paced environment
- Identify business development opportunities and contribute to the advancement of renewable energy solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience, with at least 4 years directly related to power systems
- Experience with programming in Python preferred
- EIT status and ability to work toward PE certification preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage individual workload effectively
