Subject Matter Expert - MENA
Job Summary
Serving as a Subject Matter Expert - MENA, the full-time remote professional will analyze data feeds, improve AI models, and support real-time decision-making related to geopolitical developments in the Middle East and North Africa, while working core hours from 3:00pm to 11:00pm Pacific Time, including rotational weekend shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the quality of data feeds related to the MENA region
- Own and develop projects to enhance AI performance in real-time event detection
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support region-specific training and strategic initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Political Science, Middle Eastern Studies, security/conflict studies, or a related field
- Professional experience in a real-time information environment, such as breaking news desks or GSOCs
- Fluency in Arabic and English; proficiency in Farsi, Hebrew, or Turkish is a plus
- Experience with AI tools and LLMs to improve workflows and solve problems
- Strong understanding of current events, technology, and social media dynamics
