Job Summary
Supporting an assigned group of engineers and technicians, the full-time remote Substation Designer will provide technical drafting and design support for infrastructure projects, focusing on creating accurate 3D models and offering guidance to other technicians.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop plans for infrastructure projects using 3D modeling software
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians in drafting and design tasks
- Ensure adherence to company and project standards and procedures while collaborating with team members
Required qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in Technical Drafting or equivalent
- 7 or more years of infrastructure-related experience
- Proficiency in 3D software programs such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit
- Detailed drafting experience with substation electrical equipment layouts and related designs
- Ability to work independently and embrace evolving technology to enhance workflows
