Support Group Facilitator
Job Summary
To empower trans, nonbinary, and non-cis individuals, the part-time Support Group Facilitator will facilitate virtual support groups, create engaging agendas, and provide empathetic support while managing group dynamics in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Facilitate live virtual group sessions to support members with identity-related barriers
- Create structured agendas and activities based on monthly themes and participant needs
- Provide feedback on session structure and materials to enhance the support group experience
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a facilitator or peer support specialist
- 2+ years of experience supporting trans/nonbinary individuals through professional or volunteer roles
- 1+ years of experience facilitating virtual support groups or workshops
- Comfort with discussing sensitive issues facing the trans/nonbinary community
- Experience facilitating discussions on equity, inclusion, and social justice topics
