Surgical Navigator

Job Summary

Serving as the centralized coordinator for ASC surgical scheduling and procedural management, the full-time Surgical Navigator will work remotely to ensure all procedures are clinically, financially, and operationally prepared prior to the date of service while acting as the primary liaison among providers, patients, and payers.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate physician procedure orders and ensure documentation supports medical necessity
• Obtain prior authorizations and coordinate peer-to-peer reviews and medical clearances as needed
• Schedule and register patients accurately while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Three or more years of experience in ASC, surgery scheduling, authorization, or procedural coordination
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements
• Experience with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, AthenaOne, and/or SIS preferred
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills
