Surgical Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary

Coordinating complex patient appointments, the full-time remote Surgical Scheduling Specialist will manage scheduling for surgical cases, ensuring accurate record gathering and providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare teams.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule surgical cases and ancillary services for assigned providers and clinical areas
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding appointment details and follow-up needs
• Review surgical orders for accuracy and manage consultation requests and electronic request lists

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a hospital, outpatient facility, or physician office
• At least one (1) year of customer service experience required
• Proficiency in medical terminology and all Microsoft applications
• Prefer two or more years of experience in a healthcare environment
