System Security Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a System Security Engineer to maintain and monitor network defense technologies for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply NIST Risk Management Framework to enhance cybersecurity and compliance
- Develop and submit maintenance security packages through eMASS
- Prepare and maintain monthly POA&Ms for each Authority to Operate package
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Technology with 12+ years of experience or equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge of the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and ATO package development
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
- Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability/Public Trust clearance
