Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Owning well-scoped features and improvements, the hybrid Systems Engineer for Browser Isolation will develop and maintain C++ code in a Chromium-based browser while collaborating on distributed services and systems components written in Go, Rust, and TypeScript.

Key responsibilities

• Manage feature design, implementation, testing, rollout, and production follow-up with support from teammates
• Debug failures across browser processes and distributed services using logs, metrics, and profiling tools
• Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to incident mitigation and follow-up improvements

Required qualifications

• Practical proficiency in C++ with experience in delivering and maintaining production software
• Understanding of Linux/UNIX fundamentals, including processes, threads, and networking
• Experience developing or operating distributed systems, with knowledge of service-to-service communication
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases and systematically debug and analyze performance
• Willingness to learn Rust, Go, TypeScript, and other technologies in the stack
