Systems Engineer IV

Job Summary

Leading requirements definition and verification planning for missile defense programs, the full-time salaried Systems Engineer IV will work remotely or from Folsom, CA, or Reno, NV, while managing system-level verification plans and conducting technical risk assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of system, subsystem, and interface requirements, ensuring compliance throughout the program lifecycle
• Develop and execute system-level verification and validation plans, including conducting verification events such as reviews and tests
• Interface with cross-functional engineering teams and serve as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders on requirements and verification progress

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related STEM field with 7 years of experience, or 11 years of experience in systems engineering without a degree
• Demonstrated experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) processes and formal technical reviews
• Proficient in DOORS (or equivalent) for requirements management
• Solid knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle standards (INCOSE SE Handbook, MIL-STD-499, EIA-632)
• Strong technical writing skills for formal documentation and compliance matrices
