Systems Engineer VI

Job Summary

As the principal technical leader, the full-time Systems Engineer VI will architect and oversee the full lifecycle of complex defense systems, ensuring compliance and best practices while working remotely or from locations in Reno, NV or Folsom, CA.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the site technical authority for systems engineering across multiple programs, establishing and enforcing standards and processes
• Define and govern the site requirements management strategy, ensuring traceability and compliance across all program tiers
• Lead formal reviews and manage the technical baseline across programs, guiding integration with various engineering disciplines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or related STEM field with 15 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 13 years of experience, or 19 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Deep familiarity with MDA processes and systems engineering lifecycle standards
• Expert-level proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS)
• Significant experience applying MBSE principles using SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project
