Systems Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Systems Engineering Manager, the contract-to-hire position based in San Diego, CA (remote with limited onsite days) will lead a high-performing infrastructure team, overseeing technical staff, project delivery, and operational planning across server, storage, connectivity, and cloud environments.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Systems Engineering and Storage technical staff, managing performance reviews and team productivity
- Oversee the planning, design, engineering, and maintenance of server, storage, and connectivity environments
- Partner with business stakeholders to assess technology needs and coordinate multiple infrastructure projects
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience supporting multiple network infrastructure technologies, including servers and storage
- 5+ years of supervisory experience managing technical staff and multiple projects
- Cloud-forward infrastructure experience and strong knowledge of systems engineering and network management
- Experience in a healthcare network environment and large-scale projects is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
