Systems Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance security operations and infrastructure, the fully remote Systems Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security controls while supporting threat detection and incident response initiatives, requiring candidates to be available within the Mountain Standard Time (MST) or Pacific Standard Time (PST) time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across enterprise systems, networks, and cloud environments
• Engineer and optimize threat detection, monitoring, and alerting capabilities utilizing SIEM and EDR platforms
• Support incident response efforts by analyzing security events and implementing remediation measures

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure security, or security engineering roles
• Strong foundational knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration and networking
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and security monitoring technologies
• Experience securing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and incident response processes
