Leading tax reporting, compliance, and strategy for the company, the full-time salaried Tax Director will manage both direct and indirect tax functions, oversee relationships with external compliance partners, and drive process improvements in a dynamic environment focused on renewable energy projects.
Key responsibilities
- Lead direct and indirect tax functions, including assessment, billing, collection, and filing across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage relationships with external tax compliance partners to ensure timely filing of sales and property tax returns
- Establish processes for key deliverables and drive continuous improvement activities to enhance operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related area
- 10+ years of progressive tax, tax accounting, and finance experience
- Knowledge of accounting for residential solar assets, including construction, leases, and PPA agreements
- Experience with partnership accounting, including tax equity structures
- Strong knowledge of tax law and tax accounting under US GAAP
