Tax Notice Resolution Specialist

Job Summary

Serving as a key technical and operational resource for the Tax Notice Resolution team, the full-time remote Tax Notice Resolution Specialist Lead will manage complex agency notices, provide expert guidance, and maintain ownership of high-profile cases while supporting team operations and ensuring timely resolutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the primary technical backup for Supervisors, supporting daily operations and workload coordination
• Provide subject matter expertise to specialists on complex agency notices and escalated customer matters
• Maintain an active caseload of assigned agency notice cases, ensuring accurate and timely resolutions

Required qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 2+ years of payroll tax experience, including resolving federal, state, or local tax agency notices
• Working knowledge of payroll and payroll tax functions, including filings and account reconciliation
• Experience communicating with tax agencies and interpreting agency correspondence
• Familiarity with case management systems and payroll platforms such as Workday or PeopleSoft preferred
