Job Summary
Supporting faculty and administrators, the part-time Teaching Assistant for Jewish Learning will evaluate assignments, provide feedback, and participate in meetings while working remotely for a maximum of 8-10 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and grade JLE assignments, including exams and extra credit, within designated timeframes
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students based on established rubrics
- Participate in monthly meetings with JLE Administrators and Faculty to discuss grading issues and student performance
Required qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Judaic studies or a related field from an accredited institution
- Prior experience grading or tutoring, with teaching experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated strong written and communication skills
- Experience with online learning platforms, preferably Canvas by Instructure
