Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

To support its rapidly growing Android app, the full-time Team Lead, Android Development will manage core product features, write and review code, and enhance team workflows in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own major features from design to release, ensuring real delivery and collaboration with the design team
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to foster team learning and improvement
• Unblock team members and streamline processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a background in leading teams and hands-on development
• Proficiency in Kotlin, including Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Android architecture components
• Experience in shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the importance of automated tests
• Ability to facilitate changes in team workflows and manage the associated challenges
