Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

Leading core product initiatives, the full-time salaried Team Lead, Android Development will manage feature ownership, maintain reliability metrics, and provide hands-on coding and team support in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own major features end to end, collaborating closely with the design team from decision-making to release
• Review pull requests, providing constructive feedback and ensuring team members learn from the process
• Unblock team members experiencing challenges and facilitate improvements in team workflows

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership or ownership of major projects
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Android architecture components
• Experience shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain process changes within a team
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy, with a drive to enhance Android UI/UX
