Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Team Lead for Android Development, the full-time remote position will manage core product features, oversee code reviews, and enhance team collaboration while actively contributing to coding and problem-solving efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Own major features from decision to release, collaborating closely with the design team
• Review pull requests, providing constructive feedback and ensuring team members learn from the process
• Unblock team members facing challenges and streamline workflows to reduce manual intervention in releases

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a background in leading teams or owning major projects
• Proficiency in Kotlin, including Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and MVVM architecture
• Experience with shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the importance of automated tests
• Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain changes in team workflows
