Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

To lead core product initiatives, the full-time remote Team Lead, Android Development will own major features, maintain reliability metrics, and manage team collaboration while remaining hands-on in coding and problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver major features from concept to release, collaborating closely with the design team
• Review code submissions and provide constructive feedback to enhance team learning and efficiency
• Unblock team members facing challenges and streamline processes to reduce manual interventions in releases

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including team leadership and hands-on development
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, and related Android development technologies
• Experience in shipping and maintaining applications with background audio or long-running processes
• Strong understanding of testing practices and the ability to advocate for necessary changes in team workflows
• Demonstrated ability to influence team practices and improve product design and user experience
