Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

Owning core product development, the full-time remote Team Lead, Android Development will manage major features, improve reliability metrics, and facilitate team collaboration while remaining hands-on with coding and code reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver major features from design to release while maintaining and improving reliability metrics
• Review code submissions, providing constructive feedback to enhance team learning and performance
• Unblock team members facing challenges and ensure effective planning to prioritize decision-making work

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership in a hands-on capacity
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, and related Android development technologies
• Experience in shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the importance of automated checks
• Demonstrated ability to drive changes in team processes and practices effectively
