Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Team Lead for Android Development, this full-time remote position will manage core product features, oversee code reviews, and enhance team collaboration while maintaining a strong focus on delivering high-quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Own major features from conception through release, collaborating closely with the design team
• Review pull requests, providing constructive feedback to foster team learning and improvement
• Unblock team members facing challenges and streamline processes to enhance productivity and release efficiency

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading teams while remaining hands-on
• Proficiency in Kotlin, including Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Android architecture components
• Experience in shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Demonstrated ability to implement changes in team workflows and manage associated challenges
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy to enhance Android UI/UX beyond specifications
