Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Team Lead for Android Development, this full-time remote position will manage core product features, oversee code quality, and enhance team collaboration while maintaining a strong focus on delivering reliable and user-friendly applications.

Key responsibilities

• Own major features from conception to release, collaborating closely with the design team
• Review code submissions, providing constructive feedback and ensuring high-quality standards
• Identify and resolve team roadblocks, facilitating efficient workflows and decision-making

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including team leadership and hands-on development
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Android architecture components
• Experience in shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Demonstrated ability to implement lasting changes within a team and manage workflow improvements
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy, with a commitment to enhancing UI/UX
