Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

To lead core product initiatives, the full-time remote Team Lead, Android Development will manage major features from conception to release, enhance team collaboration, and ensure high-quality code delivery while remaining hands-on with development tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver major features in collaboration with the design team, ensuring real delivery rather than mere oversight
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate team unblocking to enhance productivity
• Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features, while actively participating in cross-functional discussions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including team leadership and hands-on development
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Android architecture components
• Experience with background audio processing and long-running background tasks
• Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain changes in team workflows
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy, with a focus on enhancing Android UI/UX
