Job Summary

To enhance the core product of a leading Android text-to-speech app, the full-time remote Team Lead, Android Development will manage major features, improve reliability metrics, and mentor team members while remaining hands-on with coding and problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver major features from conception to release, collaborating closely with the design team
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to foster team learning and improvement
• Unblock team members facing challenges and streamline processes to enhance efficiency

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including team leadership and hands-on coding
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, and related Android technologies
• Experience in shipping and maintaining applications with background audio or long-running tasks
• Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain team improvements
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy to enhance Android UI/UX
