Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

To lead core product initiatives, the full-time remote Team Lead, Android Development will manage major features end-to-end, maintain reliability metrics, and facilitate team collaboration while actively participating in coding and code reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Own major features from decision-making through to release, collaborating closely with the design team
• Review pull requests, providing constructive feedback to enhance team learning and efficiency
• Unblock team members by identifying and resolving issues that hinder progress

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on team leadership and hands-on development
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Android architecture components
• Experience in shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Strong understanding of testing practices and the ability to advocate for necessary changes in team workflows
• Demonstrated ability to drive product design and user experience improvements in Android applications
