Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Team Lead for Android Development in a remote full-time role, who will manage core product features, oversee code quality, and facilitate team collaboration while actively contributing to coding and problem-solving efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Own major features from design through release, ensuring real delivery and collaboration with the design team
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to enhance team learning and maintain high code quality
• Unblock team members and streamline processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention in releases

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in leading teams and hands-on development
• Proficient in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Android architecture components
• Experience with background audio processing or long-running background tasks in Android
• Demonstrated ability to implement changes in team workflows and manage associated challenges
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy to enhance Android UI/UX beyond specifications
